About SouthWest Energy Assessors of Plymouth
Welcome to SouthWest Energy AssessorsSouthWest Energy Assessors are domestic energy assessors who provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and full Home Information Packs (HIPs) to the domestic property market in and around Devon and Cornwall. The European Union Energy Performance of Buildings Directive was published in the Official Journal on the 4th January 2003. The overall objective of the Directive is to: 'promote the improvement of energy performance of buildings within the community taking into account outdoor climatic and local conditions, as well as indoor climate requirements and cost-effectiveness. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a mandatory part of the Home Information Pack (HIP) that will become compulsory in 2007 for certain properties that are marketed for sale. To assess the energy performance of your property Southwest Energy Assessors will use a method called RdSAP (Reduced Data Standard Assessment Process) and SAP. This will mean that the assessor will inspect the property to ascertain its energy efficiency. This is quite a painless process, and when all the information has been gathered, the assessor will be able to give you some guidance on how you can reduce your existing energy bills, reduce your carbon emissions, and make the property more saleable. If you wish to book an assessment or you have any questions please contact us. Service LevelWe will endeavour to complete an Energy Inspection and report within 48 hours of confirmed instruction.
